Well, it's Tuesday. I've been winding down since the end of GenCon. What a blast! David was pretty good throughout the convention. The longer we were there, the better he was. The convention is a lot to take in for a toddler, but he did a really good job.
Yvonne had a great time as well. She got to show off her new tattoo to a bunch of people, including the artist who's painting it's based on. I'm sure she will be posting all about it on her own blog at http://magicalsprite.blogspot.com.
We were able to eat out at the Ram Brewery just down the street. They had this really good root beer on tap. Very yummy. Check out the Red Eye Cafe for a good breakfast if you're ever in Indy. On the way down to Indy we stopped in Champaign and ate lunch at Sonic. It's too bad the closest one is 3 hours away. At least they put an Orange Julius in Hawthorn.
The hotel was a bit of a dissapointment. This year we stayed at the Westin. It was a good price for downtown with a nice bed and shower. However, everything else was either extra money or not available. No fridge in the room. Internet was $10 a day. Not worth it. The Hyatt right across the street has free internet and a fridge in every room. Next year we'll be there.
I got to demo some great games over the weekend. Hecatomb is a horror ccg made by Wizards of the Coast. It's got these cool 5 sided cards. Plays great. I tried out the Star Wars Miniatures game and picked up a couple packs of that. Very cool. We tried the Nightmare before Christmas CCG and the Winx CCG for Yvonne. She loved both of them. We got to see lots of different artists, get lots of free swag (mostly crap, but sometimes you never know), and meet lots of people. Overall a great experiance.
Tomorrow it's back to work. This weekend we're doing our fantasy football draft. I'm the last pick this year and my star player switched teams and admitted to smoking weed so maybe it's a rebuilding year for my team.
